Reverse glass gilded number ten in 23.5 carat real gold leaf, traditionally water gilded to produce a ‘burnished’ mirror finish. Subtle cast shadow hand painted in black enamel and a final protective coat of clear varnish. The numerals were carefully drawn out by hand and a scale proof provided for the client’s approval.
